The Watery Critters

Or for you technical folks, my tank-in-progress.

I am not the greatest when it comes to keeping fish. Mainly, because you can't play with a fish. You feed fish, you change their water, change the filter, but that's about it. My fishtank came about because Pudge, my "girl" betta, developed a case of popeye while I was on vacation in Colorado. Since the medicine came in tablets formulated by every 10 gallons, I had to move her into a 10 gallon to treat her. She survived her disease, although I'm pretty sure she's blind in her right eye.

After her treatment was done I decided it was kinda cool having a fishtank, and kept it running. Pudge was used to begin the nitrate cycle, and once my water cleared up and the water tested as being free of ammonia, I went and got a little Julii Corycat. He's still nameless. So far, that's all that's in my tank right now. I'm taking it slow due to finances and the desire to make sure my tank stays as clear and purdy as it is now. :)

The nameless Corycat. He's still tiny.

And Pudge. She controls the weather.

As it turns out, photographing fish is HARD.

Pudge is absolutely gorgeous.

I also have a male betta named The Dorkfish. I've had him for almost two years now.
