The Cute Furry Critters
I got quite a few.
First on the list of Cute Furry Critters is Spazz the Bunny. I have had Spazz since my sophomore year in highschool, making her about five years old. She is a mutt bunny, and gets disgruntled over things like her litterbox not being cleaned often enough, her food dish not being filled as full as she'd like, and bad rap (I'm serious!). She lets me know by literally throwing her food dish against either the side of the cag or her litterbox.
Bunnies, for the record, are Lagomorphs, not Rodents!
She is a very opinionated bunny. A very, very cute opinionated bunny.
She is also a very lazy, very fat bunny.

She likes to hide under furniture.

Now, you should never ever have to give a bunny a bath. I learned this AFTER I gave spazz her bath, and you know, it makes a lot of sense. There is nothing quite as pathetic as a wet bunny.
Nor is there anything quite as indignant as a wet bunny.

Next on the list of Cute Furry Critters is Scurvy the Rat. He was a gift from a customer at work whose rex rats had bred unexpectedly. He is quite possibly the awesomest rat ever. He comes when he's called, "wrestles" with my hand, and will sit with me and watch movies.

Scurvy is also a HUGE rat. He weighs about two pounds.

He is also incredibly tolerant of just about anything you do to the poor fellow. My friend Alma finds this to be the most entertaining face EVER.

I really do love this rat. I probably like him more than I like most people. Lookit him! Isn't he just the cutest rodent you have ever SEEN?!

Next is Yerbul The Gerbil. Technically, gerbils are illegal to have as pets in the State of California; however, Yerbul is an aging gerbil and was abandoned at work. I'm not sure how old he is, but judging by his grey hairs and balding bottom, I do not think he is a particularly young gerbil. Yerbul is adorable. Watching him scurry around just makes anyone watching want to say "AWWWWW" and cuddle him. He moves so much that it is almost impossible to capture his adorableness on film.

Don't you just want to go "AWWWWWW"?
I got this picture through sheer luck.
Also in my little furry menagerie ar the two mice. Their oh-so-creative names are Cute Girl Mousey and FuzzBucket. Their purpose in life is to make babies for the water dragons to eat. Cute Girl Mousey is incredibly neurotic and so I mostly leave her alone, but FuzzBucket is cute and laid back and likes to sit on my shoulder when I get ready in the morning.
Getting Cute Girl Mousey to not move is almost as difficult as rubbing your belly while patting your head.
Cute Girl Mousey is the saddest looking little mouse ever.

FuzzBucket is a longhaired mouse and constantly looks as though he went through a static storm. Sorry FuzzBucket, all the grooming in the world isn't gonna make your hair look better.
01/25/07 : Fuzzbucket is no longer with us. I noticed yesterday morning that his nose was a bit swollen, so I cleaned out his cage and then went to class. When I got home late that night, his whole face had swollen like a balloon and he was having trouble breathing. He died within an hour. I think it was a food allergy.
My hair also doubles as a mouse hidey spot.
